Celebrating the professionals who strengthen communities across North Carolina.

A Message from NCPPA President

Tracey Nelms

As we kick off Pretrial, Probation and Parole Supervision Week, the North Carolina Probation Parole Association would like to express our sincere appreciation for each of you and the important work you do every day.

The responsibilities you carry are both challenging and meaningful. Through your professionalism, integrity, and commitment to public service, you help protect our communities while providing individuals with opportunities for accountability, rehabilitation, and positive change. Whether conducting field contacts, collaborating with treatment providers, attending court, or partnering with law enforcement and community agencies, your work strengthens public safety and makes a lasting impact across North Carolina.

This week also reminds us that our profession is built on teamwork, collaboration, and a shared commitment to excellence. By supporting one another and embracing opportunities to learn and grow, we continue to strengthen both our profession and the communities we serve.

The North Carolina Probation Parole Association is proud to support professionals who exemplify compassion, accountability, and service. Being part of our Association means investing in yourself and in the future of our profession. Through collaboration, quality training, professional development, networking, committee service, and Board leadership opportunities, members strengthen their skills, build lasting professional relationships, share ideas and best practices, and help shape the future of community supervision across North Carolina.

On behalf of the North Carolina Probation Parole Association, thank you for your dedication, resilience, and unwavering commitment to public safety and rehabilitation. We wish you a meaningful and well-deserved Pretrial, Probation and Parole Supervision Week.

With sincere appreciation,

Tracey Nelms

President
